Lilleshall Memorial Hall Management Committee are committed to playing our part in the global challenge of tackling climate change and helping shape a greener, more environmentally friendly planted for generations to come.

One way in which we can do that is by making changes to our building to make it more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

User groups will have noticed the roof of the Memorial Hall is now boasting solar panels, which were installed earlier in the year 2022. However because we are having a system that stores the energy created, the accompanying batteries were not available and were not put into place until early December 2022. The total installation cost was in excess of £14,000.00.

The incentive for this work to be carried out came from Telford & Wrekin Council's Climate Change Fund, who made funds available for organisations within the Borough, to make their own contribution to arrest the growth in global warming. This means that the balance has been provided from our own funds to make this happen.
